I would clarify that the foam (cutting surface) of the die faces up so that it will cut the CS which is the next part of the sandwich. Probably obvious if you've done it before, not so obvious is you are new to die cutting.

hee hee. Of course I have been doing this wrong--putting the die face down...but it has worked for me so far.
Thanks much for the info! Off to CB something lol.
I used the Top Note with the CB the other night with that same sandwich and it worked great!
I do have one set of "B" plates for die cuts and one set for embossing, since they have a tendency to warp with die cutting.
I found that with the smaller die cuts SU is selling, like the buttons, I use an extra piece of card stock under the "B" plate and it cuts better.
It took reading the directions to the CB to realize the dies are supposed to be face up!
Thanks for verifying this! :-D I've always done it this way (no doubt because I followed the original instructions that were included with the Bug and forgot that's where I read it ;) ).
Can't count the number of times I've been corrected by someone participating in a die cutting discussion that "all roller die machines should be used with the dies facing down"!!!! Glad now that I ignored their recommendations.
