Default Tonic Scissors

I'm thinking about buying those Tonic Scissors (Tim Holtz) to cut my rubber stamps. Anyone else have these, tried them? Are they comparable to the SU ones? Any advice is welcome! Thanks gals (guys)!

I have and I like them. They cut the rubber just fine, and they have a non stick coating.

I have both, and reach for the Tonics when cutting stamps. The points are, well, pointier, so you can get into the detail areas better. I highly recommend them!

I have the tonic scissors and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them.. I always use them for cutting out stamps now - the non-stick surface really helps prevent them from getting all gooey and I love how precise you can get with the tips. I also love the feel of them- they are nice & sturdy. You won't regret getting them- they totally rock! I got mine on sale at www.wilde-ideas.com they always have specials/coupons and stuff... plus the people there are so nice.

Thanks for the replies! You have all convinced me and I've just placed an order for a pair. Thanks again!

Wow. I have the Tonic scissors and never thought to use them for cutting rubber! I don't use any other scissors in my paper designs since I got the Tonic and they are so reasonably priced! I'm not sure I want to try them on rubber - maybe I'll get a second pair for that! Thanks for the idea!

Eileen, it does say right on the package that they cut through rubber ... so, yes, you might want to get a second pair for that. I'm hoping that they are a cheaper alternative to SU scissors. My SU scissors are dulling and I dont know of any place to sharpen them around here, so I thought I'd try these and see what they're like.

These Scissors are SUPER!!! I got a pair for Christmas and I LOVE them!!
They cut very well. Easy to clean. In fact the Gluey foam doesn't stick to the scissors.
They have very nice handles for comfort when cutting a lot.
They are super Sharpe!
Cost less than the Kia or SU scissors.

These are the only ones I use now. and Won't go back.

Here is a site that sharpens KAI scissors for $5.

I'm sure I got the name of this place from splitcoast a while back. I haven't used them yet but I have them bookmarked for future use.

Here's another vote for the Tim Holtz red-handled rubber scissors! In fact, I've bought several pairs of them and tell all my rubber stamping friends about their quality. I LOVE that the tips are super pointy so I can really get into tighter spaces. *two thumbs way up*

can someone show me a picture or provide a link? I was recently thinking about buying the SU scissors to cut rubber with, but if these are cheaper and just as good then I would much rather get those..thanks
