Textured Impressions Embossing Folders
I am having trouble whenever I use the Elegant Lines, Manhattan Flower or Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. My cardstock gets torn in the pattern. Not everywhere, but in places. Also the Designer Frames creases my cardstock or makes a "dent" in the paper. I really want to use these tools but can't afford to keep wasting paper. Any suggestions?

I find some folders are abit tighter than others. Are you using a Big Shot? That's what I have. For those folders where I get too deep of an impression, I will remove Tab 1 from my sandwhich and then I find they work just fine.
Hope that helps.

I have just got mine today and been playing and got the same problem even with not using any of the tabs. So i came to ask on here...what do I do then? I have only tried it with SU's Whisper White card stock.

Really? I can’t imagine that with both Tab 1 and Tab 2 not being used that your sandwich is too tight. When I do that in my Big Shot, the roller doesn’t even make contact with the embossing folder! I definitely need Tab 2, sometimes Tab 1 as well.
Have you tried other embossing folders and paper combos? If you’re having the same issue all the time, I would suggest there is maybe something off kilter with your Big Shot?

yeah Shari, have a look at this - it was with no tabs.
No, don't have this issue with any of the other folders, except maybe the SU petals a plenty one but that isn't as bad as this.

Wow! That is a thick little embossing folder! I was going to order it with my next stamp club order, but had decided against it. This confirms my decision!
At least it isn’t all your embossing folders, but it is still a pain to have this issue.
Well, I have no idea what you could do. You can't make the platform any thinner. Only thing I can think of is to devise some sort of platform that is thinner than the one it comes with, without all the tabs. Maybe like 3 or 4 cutting pads and no platform? I don't know.
