Default Stitching, Stitching, Stitching...

Am I the only one that is getting tired of all of the stitched dies out now?

I'm not tired of them (yet). I tend toward clean/simple/geometric, so the stitched dies add a little pazzaz to my squares & circles.

There sure are a lot of them now! I like the dies that have the stitch lines both inside and outside the cut line.

I like them! I like the ones with inside and outside stitches too - I think it adds a lot. The Simon ones are calling my name after I got to play with a friend's set

I have made a few cut files on my Silhouette with stitching but I just can't seem to get into it. Oh well, maybe someday.

I love love love stitched dies. I have a good size collection from different companies but nearly every die from Lil Inker. I love the way the stitching looks on cards.

I love them, I think they finish off the shape perfectly. I have the silhouette too, but havent tried stitches with those designs. I feel the dies do the job perfectly, just wish I had more.

Sooooo I just finished reading the stamping graveyard thread and realized I am still apparently using very UNtrendy supplies and then I come to this thread and I don't even know what the heck you are talking about so I guess I am pretty far out of the loop! Perhaps if I read blogs all day instead of darn FB......LOL

I LOVE them! But I don't have any yet...so that makes me love them even more!

I don't claim any logic to that statement, sorry!

Yes, you are the only one getting tired of all the stitched dies LOL. I love them. And I think it is MFT that just came out with a set of stitched edge dies that will stitch both sides of the cut - gonna get that one for sure.

The next time Simon has a sale/coupon (or when I can't hold out any longer), I'm getting this bundle:

Stitched die bundle

I have some other sets, but they're just stitched on one side. Now I want the double-stitched dies!

Cinnestew, don't worry- you are not alone, lol. I don't own a single stitched die- they just don't do it for me. I'm one of those for whom stitching on cards, or buttons for that matter, just don't grab me. In fact,I own very few of what I'd term 'latest trend' items at all. I'm afraid they all just go straight past me, .

Since I'm the lucky owner of a sewing machine, I just put the stitching exactly where I want it.

I don't have any stitching dies, but I have to say that I LOVE the stitched look on cards. I really like those cards done in the 'shabby chic' style.

I agree! I love both the stitched and pierced dies, 'lil inker, my favorite things, my creative time with emma, and others. They do add that unique touch. As mentioned, it's super easy to add stitching perforations using a sewing machine. I prefer dies over machine stitching, but find machine stitching a great alternative!

Ok, are you guys talking about the little pierced holes that outline the die cut? Or are you talking about actual stitching with thread? Machine stitching? Hand stitching?

I like the look of the stitched dies. However, I just retired and have to be very frugal about my crafting supplies now. The trade-off was worth it!!

Here are a couple of alternatives to buying the new dies, Use a perforating tool, applied lightly, for a stitched look. Use Memory Makers Sew Easy tool for even pierced holes.

I didn't even know they existed until I read the stamping graveyard thread. I usually am up on things even if I don't partake in the trend. How did I miss these? I love the look and will be looking into what is available and the affordability. I was considering a perforating tool and seeing Covingtom Crafter mention it makes me think I may check that out before I spend more money.

Marking tools can also be found with sewing/quilting supplies- and they are probably cheaper then the 'craft' version, lol. Its like a rotary wheel, and transfers marking onto fabrics? But will make a line of small holes on card/paper. You can run it along the edge of a ruler if you need straight lines.

Take your 1/16 Hole punch and make your stitch hole looks. I been doing this ever since I started stamping... Someone told me about it a long time ago... "What's Old Is New Again".:p

I don't know what the stitched dies are either!!!!!

I do own SU's Top Note die that has stitched lines. I've had it for a long time. I'm off to google stitched dies!

I recently bought a set of Memory Box stitched dies (8 rectangle dies) which come on magnetic sheet (bonus).

I love how such a simple thing just adds so much to a card.
