Default Stampin Up Many Messages - Cut the phrases???

I was wondering if anybody purchased the Many Messages stamp without the coordinating die? I did and didn't realize it was 1 solid stamp. If you did buy just the stamp did you cut the phrases apart and make them separate stamps? Just curious as it if it is something I should attempt to do. Thank you.

Why don't you contact your demo and see if you could borrow her die and make some samples.

I've done it with a stamp by Stamps of Life. I've only cut some of the sayings apart, but it's worked well so far. If you're nervous about cutting it apart, you can try using a marker to ink up the individual sayings and use a stamp positioner to repeat-stamp it.

No, I have not cut any greeting sets like this apart. In fact I am looking more and more for stamp and die sets that have sentiments I would always use and that are done this way. It is SO great to have a bunch of sentiments already stamped and cut.

If I was in your shoes today, I would buy the die! But that's me.

I did cut mine apart. Don't want unneeded sentiments in colors that typically aren't usable. I usually do sentiments in Memento Black, Memento Tuxedo Brown or Gray Granite (St-Up color). Only occasionally do I need a Blue or pink or other color sentiment. Yes, the sentiments are small now, but I love that they don't take over the card front designs, and have even stamped them, cut into strips, and layered several on a card front. Not as easy to do with bigger sentiment stamps. Love these now they are cut up!
