What type of lighting do you all have in your stamp rooms? Do you recc the Ott light? If so, I don't know which one to purchase. They are expensive and there are soo many different kinds? Thanks for the help in advance!!GIL
my husband turned the closet in our spare bedroom downstairs to my stamping area. He pu in plain floresent lights, I have lot's of light with glar, it works great for me!
I just got a tensor full light floor lamp. I got mine at Lowe's, but I know Target carries them and a lot of other places. It is much cheaper then an OTT and does the same thing. I got mine based on recommendations from here, and I love it, makes a HUGE difference in my stamp area. Well worth the money I spent (about 65 dollars), where the Ott one was like 109 for a floor model. Love mine

I use the GE Reveal lights - they work wonderfully! Great color!! Or any of the natural daylight (light blue) bulbs.
We put in can light and bought the above bulbs.
Same as OTT but cheaper and gives more surface area.
For main lighting in my stamp room I have flourescent lights - I got special bulbs that mimic real daylight (nasty expensive but they have lasted forever so I can't complain too much!). For task lighting on my stamp table I have an OTT light - I really only use it at night when I'm doing tedious detail stuff. The flourescents really do the job 90% of the time and they don't add heat in the summer which is a big plus in our area.
My dh just recently installed track lighting for me, I love it. I also have some accent lamps in my stamping room, those are just for pretties. I use a desk lamp on my table that is similar to an OTT light (I dont remember the brand, but it sits on the store shelf next to the OTT lights). It works great and shows true color! ;)
Thanks everyone for your great suggestions. We are in the process of finishing our basement and my stamp room (I am sooooo excited!) I just bought 2 strips of track lighting and hope they work out well. Lisa, I will have to look into the other type of light you got at Lowes (the Ott's are expensive). Sounds like a good possibility.
