I purchased my first stamp and die set, now I’m confused. Do I stamp and then cut out? Or the other way around? How do you line it up so the stamped image is cut out correctly???? Is there a good video I can watch on how to do this?

Yes there are tons of vids on YT you can watch. You should watch the ones that are for your die cutting machine so it will teach you the right sandwich to use. (the sequence of plates)
I stamp and then die cut myself. Some people do it the other way.
It should be pretty clear how to line a die up over the image.....I pop a piece of tape on it to keep it still while I run it.
Here is a little trick that may make cutting out the image a little easier. I use it all the time. 1. cut out the outline die image from a piece of scrap card stock 2. stamp the image on another piece of card stock 3. using the negative space (the hole) piece of card stock (that you cut first) line it up with the image and fasten it with some removable tape 4. place the die inside the image hole and put it through the die cutting machine 5. Voila...a perfect cut ..(I hope) LOL
