Default spellbinders wizard vs. cuttlebug - how to choose?

I'm in the market for a new tool. Which would be better to get? Cuttlebug or wizard? Is the wizard made of metal and the bug made of plastic? Can each products (dies) be used in the other tool? HELP

Have you read through the stickies at the top of this forum? There's threads devoted entirely to Cuttlebug and Spellbinders (includes Wizard, Nesties). You might be able to decide by reading the threads which is the better fit for you.

I have both... The Wizard was my very first choice and bought it when they came out. It's built of metal, all parts are metal and very sturdy. The wizard is universal which mean it accepts all dies. If you like to smash bottle caps and use in your projects, the wizard is the only machine that I know of that can smash bottle caps like butter when they go through the wizard. And I love the pressure of it 3000lbs of pressure, when you use your cuttlebug embossing folders, the wizard really gives the best impression. I got the cuttlebug as a gift and use it too. But always seem to go back and reach for my Wizard. I think the cuttlebug being plastic kinda scares me, cause plastic can crack. I love both machines, but like I said, I always seem to reach for the cuttlebug.
You have to make the decision based on what your likes are and also money wise as well.

You can usually use BOTH the Wizard or CB for most dies. The Wizard will work with ALL dies, or at least that's their claim. I have a Wizard and bought it because it's a lot sturdier than the CB. It's made of metal and the mechanism is standard ratchet type. I felt it was a better investment plus I don't have to mess around with complicated sandwiches. Simply put one plate in, my paper, die, then the top plate. So easy!
