Default Silhouette Mats

How do you clean a silhouette cameo mat? I have been cleaning my cricut mats for years and they always work great, but I didn't know if you do the same for the silhouette ones. Thank you.

I usually just use a baby wipe to lightly clean my mats. When I want to resticky it, I take all the adhesive off with acetone/nail polish remover and then put new adhesive on it.

I scrape old paper off with a plastic putty spatula. Other than that - I don't clean it.

These plastic putty spatula / applicators are in the hardware section. About $1-$3

I use hot soapy water and let them soak for a minute then gently wipe with my Scrub Daddy sponge, rinse and air dry. Easy peasy. It gets all the leftover paper off and comes out nice and sticky.

I do all of the things above. The best little thing to use to get the bits off the Silhouette mat is the little spatula made by Cricut. The other thing I use for bigger messes on the mat is the scrapper you get with Pampered Chef. It works great and I have several of them hanging out on my desk! I always have 2 mats so I can cut one while I clean another. To facilitate the cleaning I raise my Silhouette up on these metal expanding shelves! They work great in a limited space. I also raise my BigShot on these.
