This is how I did it BEFORE I got my punches: On the reverse side, trace your oval/circle; then with the decrative sizzors being careful to match the scallops with each cut, keep the highest point of each scallop on the pencil line going very slowly. Practice on scrap till you get the hang of it, then you'll be cranking them suckers out fast as you can go. Good luck!
The cheapest place I found on the internet for Marvy U. clever lever scalloped punches: www.allthatscraps.com They're located in Tennessee.
I haven't checked lately to see if all are in stock, but they're getting them quite frequently now! They have great prices on the punches. Plus they give gift certificates with each purchase. I think it's 3 on the dollar - it adds up! They send this certificate thru email, so be sure to click on the link in the email when you receive it to apply it to your account. Best of all, ***NO shipping charge over $10.00*** !!!
I could only afford one at a time and then applied each gift certificate to the next purchase. Their shipping time is great too!! Mine has been less than a week.

Do you have a 1/2 circle punch? I made a card last week (way behind on posting my cards) where I punched out a bunch of 1/2 inch circles and double-stick taped them behind an oval cut-out, with half the circle peaking out from behind. (hope I explained that clearly) It looks really cute and really isn't as tedious as I thought it would be. I haven't taken the dive to get the oval scalloped punches, but now I may not!
I used Jumbo Scallop scissors that I bought years and years ago. I cut out the image, layer it on top of the paper I am cutting the scallops on, and pretty much eyeball it.
I did this on the following cards:
........
I think if you practice enough, then you get much better results. My first attempts were laughable!
Hope that helps!
Connie
Wow! Your circles are great. I'm going to get out my old scissors and PRACTICE!

Joanne's has a 50% coupon at their website I believe until tomorrow - you could order the marvy giga punches there -I just got mine and believe it or not it only took 3 days from the day I placed my order...
I just love deliveries ... don't you!
Also the priceless classy brass from Stampin' Up has a beautifule edge that is a scallop - I used this to create the card currently posted at my blog. I used paper snips to cut out.
Also if you have a carl cutter, they also have a scallop edge if you are just looking to cut straight! It works great...
Like yourself I have been looking for the scalloped punches. Someone from here (I think) directed me to this area stamping101blogspot.com. This will tell you that is an error but just below it look for STAMPING 101 in bold type. This will take you to Fairle B Carroll's informative website. Based on how she explained to use a slit punch ( half a circle) and the Colluzzle which I already had, you can make different size scallped frames. I have one example in my teeny time gallery. I hope this helps
