Default Printer suggestions for digi stamps

I'm in the market for a new printer, what are your suggestions for a printer/ink that I can use for my digi images that isn't going to make me go broke?

Thanks in Advance!

There are a lot of threads on this subject. I wish I knew also. Quite a few people recommend Canon, but I have a Canon MP520 and I'm not all that impressed with it. I loved the Brother MFC210 I had, but there was a problem with the print heads with those printers and it kept clogging up and finally quit working. From what I've read on the forum here is that people like Epson. It seems their inks don't smear and it does a nice job printing photos. When this Canon dies, I'll probably try an Epson.

Whatever you decide on don't forget to look at the spec's. Some printers don't work with Mac's and some are designed to work best with specific operating systems such as Windows 7.

You will want to look at some of the other threads....your choice of coloring medium may also play into your decision.

I just started printing Digi stamps, my printer at home (HP c3150) would smear. I brought my paper to work, printed it on our laser printer (HP Color Laserjet CP151 and it doesnt smear... im LOVING it! My recommendation (at least for me) is a laser printer!!

I read on one of the digi stamp sites that they recommend to use photo printer ink to print out the images so they don't smear.

I had an Epson and it printed beautiful pics but I would be in the poor house if I used it much. The ink is expensive.

I have an HP all in one ink jet printer. I like it and have had no issues with Copic markers and digital images.
