Default Paper trimmer trick

Ok so I got my very expensive paper trimmer from SU (the Fiskars kind) and use the heck out of it all the time. Now after a couple of months the lines on the paper trimmer has started to fade. So I took a thin pointed sharpie and redrew all the lines then used some Grip-tac (the clear sticky stuff that you line shelves with) and cut a piece to cover the metalic part with the lines on it.

Now hopefully that will keep the lines from fading!

I hope that someone who buys a NEW trimmer would do this to begin with and not have to redo them later.

HugS

wow - that's smart! So the Grip tac is thin enough it doesn't affect the cutting?

Not in the least. I've cut it so that it fits just inside of the cutting groove and smaller than the edge. I also put a strip on my swing out arm and marked my 5 1/2" mark with a sharpie :-D.

That's smart. I always have to triple check to make certain that I'm cutting on the 5 1/2 opposed to the 5 1/4. :P
