Default Mini rant: Basic Gray Marker

Anyone else notice this?? Why on Earth are they making is so that only way to get the Basic Gray marker is to buy it in a full set of 4, with Basic Black, Going Gray, and Sahara Sand?? I just bought the other 3 markers, I do not NEED these 3 markers to get one marker to complete my set. GRRR. I am not sure why they did this. I don't even know where I can get rid of the other colors at.

Anyone have thoughts on this??

I noticed that too. Don't think it will work towards their advantage. I might suggest using the extra markers as hostess incentives or something.

Yeah, I noticed that too and thought it was very odd. Why not just sell the 1 marker, especially since the other 3 colors are also sold individually??

yes, see that is my thought too, if they have all 3 of the other colors why not basic gray? Can those of you that are demonstrators call support and ask about this? I will be calling my demo in the morning about this.

That is very weird- especially since it is new and many people probably have the others already.

Is there not a basic brown marker? How do you get brown?

Nope, no basic brown, it has never been offered, you only have the chocolate chip and the close to cocoa markers. In my opinion basic brown is between those two colors.

FWIW, they are toting that the *basic* line is waterproof, they are NOT waterproof in marker form, at least the basic black is not waterproof. The only waterproof I found was in the journal markers which it appears they don't even sell anymore.

My basic black ink pad has never been waterproof for me- so I didn't expect it from the markers, but thanks.

I forgot about chocolate chip- I'll give that one a try for brown. (I need to color monkeys!)

Re the Journalers -- I may not be remembering correctly but from my spin through the online catalog I remember the archival journaler markers being available in black and brown and shown separately the accessories.

I noticed that right away. I'm hoping it was an error and the number for the new marker just was not added to the column. Your demo can call DS to verify. I can't believe you would have to buy the 4-pack since so many of us already have the other three, or at least a couple of the others.

I know all of you are upset about this (and if I wasn't a newbie, I would be also)...but I just wanted to thank you all for this thread! I never noticed the 4 pack option in the catty until I saw this thread and I was going to purchase the three individually. Now I can get all 4 for just a little over a dollar more. Thanks for helping me out!

I think it might be an error. No one has heard back from SU yet, though.

I just called DS, they said there are no plans to offer an individual Basic Gray Marker at this time. UGH!
