I have tried two different brands of matte embossing powders (clear) and one is as shiny as can be (Imagine MBoss) and the other semi shiny (Wow clear matte dull). Am I missing something? :-) I don't where there are any additional directions besides the usual embossing process.
Anyone else have experience with matte embossing powders?
I started out with clear to just try a matte finish powder before buying other and also I thought it would be an interesting resist technique using a matte finish. I should try some of the colors and see how they do.
I have the Wow clear matte. You have to be very careful not to overheat it; if it starts to turn shiny, too late! I use it for emboss resist also.

Do you know the Distress-Embossingpowder?
That's so matte, you never know if it's allready heaten or not.
Distress EP was discontinued a few years ago. It's more of an irregular (i.e., distressed) finish. I don't think it would work for a resist technique or most of the "regular" EP techniques.

Oh, I didn't know it's no more on the market. I'm not that sad about, I think it's terrible.
Thank you for the information
