Default Let's remember to check in and say thank you!

Wanted to give all of us a gentle reminder today:

For all of us who come here on a regular basis for help and inspiration, remember to check back and say thank you when someone answers your questions or is helpful.

Lately I'm seeing threads where someone is looking for a stamp, or advice about a technique or tool. Many helpful kind people respond with answers.

Then I see the same thread days later, and the original OP either has not been back to the board, or has neglected to indicate they even saw all the helpful replies. I always wonder, did the OP even see this?

Let's remember to say thank you for everything that is shared on this great forum.

I've often thought the same thing. Thank you for posting it in such a kind and graceful manner.

Me, too! I've been tempted to pm new posters with a link to their original in case they can't find it again. I know I get lost here sometimes! ;)

Thank you, bugga, for this gentle reminder!

so vary true. i remember my first few weeks here and it was so confusing trying to understand everything at once, then i slowed down and went and read some directions that someone had posted to another poster and it was so helpful.the knowledge and generosity of the people here should never be taken for granted and i try to appreciate their time.
thanks to splitcoasters for all the help.

In addition to this advice, the same holds true for recipients of BRAK cards and "newbie" cards.

The original poster needs to remember to go back to the thread they started and acknowledge all the responses. It's rude if they don't.

Also don't repeat the same things as a previous poster did. Things only need to be said one time.

needed it...a lot!

Sometimes the same response comes in at the same time, has happened to me many times. Thanks for the reminder, Bugga, some newbies may not know that all of the helpful suggestions would like to be acknowledged with a quick "Thanks"!!
