Question Janome Question

Bought one of these mini sewing machines a while back. Am disappointed in it. Very hard to draw up the bobbin thread so I hate changing colors. Also, I have a terrible time running a straight stitch on the cardstock or designer paper. Is there something wrong with the tension that I need to adjust? Appreciate any helpful advice. Thanks

Gina K. has a series of tutorials on how to use the Janome Mini - from out of the box, how to thread, tension, etc. try googling Gina K. designs.

Good luck. I have a mini and haven't used it much. I bought it just for paper crafting. The thing I don't like is how noisy it is but it does work fine for paper crafting.

Good luck!

JanTInk also has a good post on the Janome HERE.

As for switching out the thread color, I use white for everything and then lightly run a Copic marker over the thread in the color I want. HTH!

I agree with the Gina K tutorials! If it is hard to sew straight, you may not have the bobbin thread in all the way. There is a little notch that the thread needs to "snap" firmly into. That was my biggest problem when I started.

I use white bobbin for everything and only change my main thread color. No one sees the back of my stitching, so it doesn't bother me.
