Default Help! Stuck Quickie Glue Pen

There are now 4 lying on my desk. At least one is completely full. How do I get them unstuck? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Interesting! Never had that happen! Maybe submerge it in hot water for a bit?

I'm so sad I missed it! What "must haves" did I miss?

Pull the pen part out of the barrel, pull the glue tube out of the pen head, stick a pin in and wiggle it around. Stick the tube back on and try writing with it. If it starts to flow, reassemble. If not pull the tube off and wiggle a pin in there some more ( a warm water soak may be needed).

It works for me. I decided to try it when I was ready to throw one away. I figured there was nothing to lose and I got my glue pen back.

I learned for glue pens and gel pens especially sparkle / glitter ones to store point down. Hot water or rolling them vertically between your palms will warm them up to flow. Do not shake them for some reason is the advice I got. Its worth a try. It worked for me. Good luck.

I have one that won't flow and I like your idea, but how on earth did you take it apart?

TIA!

I worked the blade of a craft knife in between the barrel and the white "pointy" part. Go around until you get some space, then use a craft stick to lever it off. Good luck!

Thank you, iamvics, for this excellent advice! I have never had a stuck Quickie Glue Pen before, but tonight it suddenly stopped up - and your solution worked perfectly. I had first tried just soaking the whole shebang in hot water but it did nothing. Once I got the works apart the pin and hot water combo did the trick. Another reason to love SCS!
