Default Was this a good deal for Prisma's?

So I bought a 48 set with a 50% off coupon today, but after reading posts from people who bought smaller sets and then ended up getting bigger one's I thought I would try to get the 120 set on Ebay for a good price. Well I ended up winning an auction today for the 120 set for 53.99 (this was the total price after shipping and handeling). Is this a good price? I'm not really sure how much the 120 retails for but I know the 48 set I got for 29.00 and that was after the 50% off coupon. So off to return those tommorow. I can't wait to get these in the mail!

Sounds like a really good deal to me. I bought my 120 set with Michael's 40% off coupon and I think I paid a buttload more than you. I think with tax it was like ninety-some dollars?? Sounds like you got a great deal!

Yes it was a GREAT deal. 120 retails around 149.99. I used a 50% off coupon for mine paying 75.

You made an awesome deal! As suedstamper did, I bought my 120 set with a 50% off coupon at JoAnn's a few years ago. I think my total came to around $75 as well. Smile, you've given yourself a good day.

You're going to LOVE them! I use mine all the time, and I hated coloring before I got them!

Thanks. I was hoping I got a good deal. Can't wait till they come. I just found an art store in Charlotte that should carry Gamsol, so this week I'll go down there and see. I can't wait to play! You girls on this site are such enablers! ;)

I got mine from Viking and I wanna say that I paid like $58. I can't remember if I had gotten them at that price because of a coupon code I had, or if I got more off of that. I have the 120 set. I would say you got a great deal. Way to shop around for the best price.

The Prismacolor Pencil colors are Awesome!!

Great deal! I never thought about looking for the big set of Prisma color pencils on EBay. I have been waiting to get mine at Michaels with a 50% coupon. Every time I get the darn coupon my Michaels puts all of the Prismas on sale. OY!

Got mine from viking with a code and they ended up being $38.00 with tax and free shipping! I got in on one of those great deals! I think they retail at my local craft store for around $150.00, so I think you got a pretty good deal. I use mine all the time and really love them.

I got mine at Viking, too...at one certain time, with the sale, and a discount code, and free shipping, a bunch of us from here got them for 15.00...seriously...I love my pencils! That kind of deal is a complete fluke, you really did well on Ebay! Keri

I don't think you can get discount codes since Viking has changed hands...someone else might know more, though...

You got a really good deal! I paid $65 on ebay for the set of 120 several months ago. I really need to use them more to make myself feel better about that purchase! :-)

I think it's a good deal IF it's the new set. A lot of places are discounting the sets that contain the metallic pencils which have been discontinued so I would make sure you are getting the new colors.

How about $56 for 120 Prismas? I just won a set on the 'bay today. Luckily, the seller will ship to APO, whoohoo!! Now I have to order some Gamsol and blending stubs from InkyAntics. Thanks to those who suggested eBay. Every other place I looked was over $100.

I just won a set on ebay yesterday. I paid 51.00 and 10.00 for shipping So I am getting them for a total of 61.00. It is an Anniversary present from my husband which was yesterday. It is a brand new set with an added bonus of 24 more color pencils. I believe it is the new set becuase it has the exact same cover as the one selling in Michaels for 149.99.

Good deals, girls! If you need individual replacements, as I find I do since I use the same handful of colors all the time, there is an ebay store called 'A Rainbow of Colored Pencils' and she has great prices on open stock pencils, and really great shipping ($1.50 for the first pencil and .05 for each additional). I haven't ordered from her yet as I have a full extra set of 120 (an ebay purchase too!) to dip into, but I have her page bookmarked... http://stores.ebay.com/A-Rainbow-of-Colored-Pencils

Every time I've looked at Prismas on eBay, the sets are those ones where instead of getting 48 different colours, you get something like six pencils of eight different colours. :P Congrats on the super deal!
