Favorite Cricut Cartridges
My mom just gave me a brand new cricut personal cutter that she purchased about 3 years ago. It was still in the shipping box from HSN. I never purchased a cricut for myself due to having to buy cartridges. But now that I have one I thought I would get 3 or 4 cartridges to use. What are your must have cartridges? Thanks so much!!

I LOVE Cherry Limeade, Create a Critter and Alphalicious. These are are my go-to cartridges, though at last count I think I had a total of 16.
Happy cutting! I hope you enjoy your Cricut

Lyrical letters is great, you get lots of fonts. And everyday paper dolls and paper dolls dress up, there are lots of extras that are very handy. I made a grad cap the other day with a nurse.

Art Philosophy and Ultimate Creative Sampler will give you tons and tons and tons of assorted designs and font.
Elegant Edged and Fancy Frames is like all the Nestability dies ON STEROIDS. You will literally have all kinds of edges and frames and shapes that you love from the Nesties.
Graphically Speaking has alot of good all purpose "sayings" and graphics to go with them.
Heritage has a good selection of cuts that are family themed without being too cutesy.
If you go to the Cricut website you can browse through all of their cartridges and zoom in on the pictures.....although each cartridge has alot more than the main icons you see on the page.
The carts I've listed are good all around basics without branching off into the specialty themes. Have fun window shopping.

I love all the quirky ones:
Summer In Paris
Dinosaur Tracks
Art Noveau
Croc's Rule
Hello Kitty Font & Hello Kitty Greetings (Prepare for sticker shock. They are both retired cartridges)
I do a lot of Kawaii art. I have over 100 cartridges. For general crafting I love Ashlyn's Alphabet, Lyrical Letters, Mini Monograms, Create A Critter, Heritage & Tie the Knot.
A little tip about buying Cricut cartridges. Think outside the box. Tie the Knot is a wedding cartridge. Weddings are not something I usually craft for. I love the dresses & boxes on that cart.

There are so many great cartridges, and they are loaded with images. Some of my favorites are: A Child's Year, Birthday Bash, Create a Critter, Everyday Paper Dolls, Paper Doll Dress Up, and a Walk in My Garden. I agree with lylacfey about thinking outside the box with cartridges. Many of them have a lot of really useful accessory & icon images that are awesome for cardmaking.
HTH!

I really agree with Marcy! For example, the Just Because cartridge has many shapes that can be used as labels and tags, too.

If you want a Faux Nesties cartridge you have to get Lacy Labels.
I will throw in some more favorites. I love Ornamental Iron, Wall Decor & More, Splish Splash, Life's A Beach, Create A Critter.
I packed away my Cricut's because I was getting burned out on them. Then I missed my cartridges. Isn't that silly? I have so many favorites. I have been Cricuting for six going on seven years now. I noticed the cartridges I had my heart set on are the ones I don't use the most. The ones I bought on a whim are the ones that became my favorite except Summer In Paris & Art Nouveau.

Cricut cartridges depend on your interests. We do a lot of outdoor things so I love the
Pooh Font (for the wood letters)
Life is a Beach
Mickey Font
Stretch Your Imagination (lots of general images)
Everyday Paper Dolls
Paper Doll Dress Up
Wildlife Lite (realistic animals)
From My Kitchen
Doodle Charms
Animal Kingdom
Enjoy all that you get. Have a great day
