Default Designer label punch box challenge...

There is a wonderful thread about all of the things you can do with the new round tab punch and I was thinking this morning that the designer label punch must be just as versatile. I used mine this morning for class and I noticed that the scraps left over made an hourglass figure. I'm opening up this challenge to all the creative demos out there to see what else we can do with this punch. So get out your CS and your punch and see what you can come up with!

oooh ... I was debating on whether or not to get this punch. I figured I would just wait until the retirement list came out to decide ... but, if there are some really neat things to do with it, I just may have to get it anyway ;) Subscribing so I can see too! :-D

Default Here's the first picture...

Punch out the two gray shapes, the white inside the square would actually be your CS and if you rotate it 90 degrees, it looks like an hourglass.

Default Oops,

forgot to delete the words rotate 90 degrees. I rotated it while I was trying to get it to an allowable file size. Just use what's left inside the square.

I just moved this to teh Tool forum so everyone can share their good ideas!

I have used it to make a tag in combo with the horizontal slot punch.
Not too original but just another way to ocmbine the punches

Very neat idea! I'm subscribing, too, because I know there will be even more clever uses for the punch now that someone has asked!

I love this punch, and the ideas above.

Here is more info I copied from scs a while back not sure who wrote it but there are some great ideas, hope they help you too.

"I wish I had a list fro the tag punch too, because I am sure you could do a lot of the same things with it.
Some of the ideas I've seen here were with tag punch
- pocket
-elongated tag
-should be able to make chocolate nugget holder
-fence
-tag that pulls out of the word window punch
-bookmark folded in half -don't know if it would look as good as the tag

-window to show candy in the bag
- negative image like you said for shaker card
- love your idea Janet to fold in half for an index tab -I would have never that of that one, would look neat for the EFP stamp
-also like- punch holes on each side for a ribbon slide- I done just a straight slit cause the stamp took most the space
-could it look like a belt buckle?
-someone made labels for candy
-it looks great layered using the circle punch, I am sure you can add a rectangle piece and use the ticket punch or even a circle punch to snip the corners, actually I think someone has samples in the gallery
- try it with the hostess set Riveting and also Circle of Friendship"

I think the words are there so after T-ball I can come back and add in the attachment directly.
Thanks for letting me know!

Hi there - it says file not found when I copied and pasted the link. When I just clicked the link it says I do not have permission.

If you just describe it that would be great too. We should start a file for ways to use it like they have for word window punch. I don't even own this but want it now

Have fun at t-ball!

I'm not a demo, but I discovered that I could use the punch like the round tab punch:

Bella Swap Prizes by 2manybooks at Splitcoaststampers

Just punch, score down longways, and you've got something that looks somewhat like the round tab. (yes, I'm a little cheap , but I'm saving for a cuttlebug.)

Default i'm using this in my class on Wednesday...

I stamped the admission ticket from "stamp of authenticity" and then centered it in the designer label punch then trimmed the curved parts off to make tickets for a border for a 6x6 scrap page. Don't have the page done yet, so can't post.
