Cuttlebug Question

Hi all! I got the Cuttlebug for Christmas (hooray!!!) and I have a question about it. I received one of the alpha die cuts....is it okay to place a small piece of paper over the ONE letter I want (even though there may be 10 or so on the die)? When I cut a regular image it makes a mark on the "B plate" (is this even normal?!) but is it okay for the die to cut right on the plate or should I ALWAYS cover the entire die with paper even though I may not want/need the other pieces? Thanks in advance for your help!!! I hope my question makes sense!

It's totally normal for the cuts to show up on the "B" Board. I asked the same questions.

Not sure about the question on covering all the letters.

Take a look at this thread:

Thanks! That answered the "B plate" getting marked up through normal cutting. So, now the only question is - do I need to cover the ENTIRE die with paper or just the part I want and the rest of the die cuts directly on the "B plate?" Thanks!!!!!!!!!! You guys are the absolute BEST!

I'll wait to find out what others say, but I've only been covering up the letters I need. Hope I'm doing it right!

I also posted this in the General Stampin Talk area since that seems to always be heavily populated!

HELP!!! We all have the same question! Is there someone out there that can give us some advice?????

Yes you can just put paper over the letter you want cut. Just make sure it doesn't shift as you put your sandwich together. I would make it a bit bigger than the letter also, just in case it should shift. HTH! Have a happy New Year!

Thats what I've been doing, putting paper over just the letters I need to cut out.

I've been putting one piece at a time when making my cuts, but just realized you can several sheets on at a time to make multiple cuts! Yeah!!!!

I'm sure you all already knew that though!!! :-)
