Default Cuttlebug Embossing Question

I have an old model Sizzix (the heavy red thing). Can I use the cuttlebug embossing folders with this?

You certainly can. I believe you need to use the converter (the magnetic plate that allows you to use Sizzlits and other thin dies).

She's right. Until today I didn't have a CB so I used my Sizzix. Actually like using it because I think it's faster. You don't need to layer between those plastic pieces.

I still haven't been convinced my Original Sizzix needs replacing...I haven't had a problem using it with any other brand of folders. Only restriction I've found is when a die is larger than the white cutting mat.

I've got several techniques on my blog using the Mean Red Machine...here's one:

http://paperfriendly.blogspot.com/20...t-easy_23.html

A couple more are DIY embossing folders made with die cuts and DIY embossing folders made with punches. Both of these techniques are quick and easy.
