copics and coloring

Does anyone else just like to color for the heck of it? Since I have gotten into copics I have ran out of cards to make but sort-of feel guilty if I just color for the fun of it. I have a bunch of images printed out just waiting to be colored. Am I the only one?

I did more when I first had the Copics and wanted to practice blending and choosing colors. Now I will do it if I have just purchased a bunch of stamps I'm dying to try out. Since I have a TV in front of me, it's tempting to color while watching a movie...not too demanding to divide one's attention. Sometimes the finished pieces end up trimmed and adhered to the inside of a card opposite the sentiment.

Have you thought about "adult" coloring books (not naughty ones, lol) but they have lovely designs that are very fun to color.

I pre-color a lot of my images. Sometimes I feel like coloring only, other times like card making only. This helps me to eventually make cards, and get them done. Coloring can be the most time consuming part of card making. One thing I keep in mind when "precoloring" is what coordinating paper I am going to use with it, this way I have precolored images that actually work nicely with my DSP.

I too choose my cs before I color. I like having it all matched up when I'm done coloring. I can spend hours on an image--probably too much time, but I do enjoy it.
