I am sure that I have used the Versafine ink with Copic markers but the last time I tried it I could see a bit of bleeding on the edges. Does this ink not work with alcohol markers? Was I just lucky before? In both case I was using the same card stock. What does an ink need to be to work with alcohol markers? Thanks for any input.
Versafine is oil-based so it’s not happy with alcohol-based markers. You can just about get away with it if you’re very light handed and careful not to colour right up to the line but more likely than not the stamping will bleed. It’s best to use something else to stamp if you’re going to colour with Copics. A lot of people swear by Momento. I think most dye-based inks actually work fine. I’ve had good luck with Brilliance if you want something “thicker” than a dye-based ink (quick blast with a heat gun to set it if you want to be sure).
I agree with @Angelnorth . I've also had good luck with Palette or other hybrid inks. I believe Scrapbook.com brand inks are hybrid and might be the same formulation as the Palette inks. The grey one that I bought seemed exactly like its counterpart Palette ink.
