Have a look at Kit and Clowder. Great classes, a lot of free ones and all the classes are yours to download and work at your own pace. The classes also come with instruction booklets you can download and keep. Their Facebook site often has great free digi images too. There is heaps of info on their site re substituting colours you may not have already too which is handy and the classes come with instructions for others markers besides Copics. Alice also does pencil classes which are great too.

Has anyone stamped with the Versafine Clair inks and then colored in with Copics? I read that it was fine to use, but mine smeared a tiny bit. I guess I should have waited longer. I thought the versafine clair ink was dry, but maybe it was not.

Default Where to buy?

Here in 2020 where is the best place to order Copic markers from? I need a reliable source that has all colors, places like Michaels have limited selections. TIA

I typically purchase from Dick Blick. Good prices per marker and always seem to keep good inventory, ship without delay, etc. They have all the different styles and also stock the refills.

Shirl, I have regular VersaFine, but I haven't tried it.  I'll give it a go next time and let you know what happens.

Thank you. I just discovered that my local Hobby Lobby has a limited selection and you can use their 40% coupon so I was able to purchase the marker I wanted for around $4.30. Yeah!

I want to give a shout-out to Violeta Ink for purchasing Copic markers and refills. Her prices are comparable to Blick. There’s no free shipping option, but I found the site so much easier to navigate to the colors I needed, the shipping was fast (they’re in TX, and I’m in NY), everything came boxed for extra protection, and there were all kinds of surprise goodies like some designer paper, sequins, and gems included as a gifted bonus. It was such a treat!

I just ordered a few refills and the new size is coming.  Does anyone know if there is a plastic storage case for them similar to the Copic ones made for Sketch Markers and the older, larger refills?  I am going to have to figure out a way to store the different types of refills in a similar place.  Thanks for any help you can give me as I did a search and nothing came up for Copic refill storage.

This isn’t plastic, but it is a way to store the new Copic refills:
https://etsy.me/3kxW5Iy. I’d come across the previous version on the Vanilla Arts site.

I store my markers in the Deflecto bins Jennifer McGuire recommended. My refills are all together in one of the sections... for now while the collection isn’t too big.

Thanks--that is a nice one.  I really do not need anything that large as I only have 4 right now.  I am storing them in a plastic bag, on top f my storage for the older refills.

On a side note--I filled a marker yesterday with one of the new refills and I really do not like it.  I like using the needle in the older ones and do not like to "drip" from the new ones.  It also seems like I used about 20% of the refill already on one marker refill!

I've come back to Copics! I got away from them when stamping up started carrying the blends. Because I'm a demo, I wanted to use the products that I'm supposed to be selling. So this meant using their markers. which are great for people just coloring some things on cards who don't want to get all into the coloring system in the expensive copics.

But I've loved my Copic markers!!! I've got a huge stash  and  I've missed them! I went through my stash ordered refills for the colors I needed and some more Xpress it blendingg paper, And I bought some digital stamps from Poppy power.

I had the MOST fun coloring up a storm this weekend while watching football games with my husband. I don't care if it's taking money away from my SU business I love copics and life is too short to miss out on things

I've been going through posts on vanilla arts blog. There are plenty of articles where she gives ipss and teachingg techniques. I sure wish I could afford to take one of her 12 week cassess. She is amazing!!

Did Rhea Weigand Retire???

I did a lot of coloring this weekend too. I swatched out what I could of the Vanilla Arts Undercover series, using a Sandy Allnock chart from her Copic Jumpstart class. And then I did take #2 on the Baby Pumpkin class from Amy at Vanilla Arts. I’ve put some of her gift certificates on my Xmas wish list so hopefully more classes are in my future. They are on the pricey side, but I do enjoy them and especially appreciate her forums for specific feedback to improve.

I just found a bunch of replacement nibs for my copics but they are all mixed up in a small container. How can I identify which nibs go on which markers? I have mostly Sketch and a few originals. Please help.

Here's a link to the Dick Blick website page that appears to have all the nibs with accompanying photos. If you enlarge the product photos, the packaging tells you which markers the nibs fit into. HTH
