Default Tag dies found!

I checked out the site and placed an order. I have been searching for a multi-size tag topper punch, but I did not want to pay $24 - $29 for one.
Cheapodies has a nesting set of stitched tags for $7.75.

please report back how you like them. In my checking of things I found them on another web site that sold other reputable company dies so am thinking this is a good company.

Just had a look, and they do have some fab dies at great prices. Unfortunately, the International shipping is way too expensive, but not the first time I've found this to be the case.

I have ordered from them a few times. Always received everything very quickly.
They also have an active FB page with lots of reviews from customers so I am pretty sure you won’t be disappointed.

I feel like they are tap dancing around the China issue. Being here does not mean they are not selling Chinese product.

Having said that...I ordered a couple from their own line. Will let you know. I was interested in the same tag set Bohodiva got but they are sold out.

When I read the "about" page, it seemed fairly clear to me that they are, in fact, selling Chinese product, but they are attempting to NOT sell copies of branded designs. They even say that it can be difficult to spot the copies and, if you see something that looks familiar, bring it to their attention so they can remove it from their store. At least they're trying, right...?

I had seen that and thought the same thing but was wondering if it was really true... anxious to hear from those that ordered if they liked the dies.

Thanks Stampingkate for your positive review.

Hey ya'll, I received confirmation that my ordered shipped. I'll let you know how well they cut after I put them to the test.
I've ordered cheap dies (off ebay) before and I've had no problem with them cutting.

Smile Tag dies received!

I tested them using cardstock and scrapbook paper and they cut perfectly.
I'm happy to have found them and they will get a good workout on future projects.
Thanks for sharing CraftyDuo.

Thanks for sharing CraftyDuo.

You are welcome Bohodiva! Glad for another good review...may just have to "splurge" a little and get a few. Glad to hear the fast shipping also.

Sportchick- which dies did you buy? Would love to hear your review of your dies also.

I've been on their email list for some time. They had a sale over the weekend, so I placed my first order with them and received it yesterday. So, yes, I'd agree with the fast shipping claim which is nice.

All of the dies are made in China, but please note, I'm basing this on my purchase, so when I say "all" I'm using my purchase as a sampling - nothing scientific here nor did I delve into minutiae. I purchased about 15-20 dies.

If you are at all familiar with Die-Versions (a FL company), you'll definitely see some of their dies on the Cheapo site, to the point that I wondered if Cheapo may be a branch of that company. Still do.

To prove my point, specifically, look at "reindeer dance" - same die, same name on both sites. There are others that I ran across (e.g. "batty house" and "batty moon"). There may well be others; I'm just presenting what I saw specifically. As of this posting, all of those dies are available on both sites - identical dies, identical names. Again, I don't claim for this to be scientific, just sharing an observation from shopping on both sites because someone asked.

Quality-wise I'd say Cheapo is fine. Their dies aren't as detailed as, say Memory Box. But you get what you pay for; they're less expensive.

Personally, I prefer made in the USA, so I might shy away from them in favor of something USA-made. But that's not a hard rule with me, so I will probably shop with them again at some point; after all, they are cheaper.

Hope this helps someone.

very interesting binx as they say they don't deal with companies that copy...they also say to let them know if you see copies so they can stop dealing with those companies...your right about name and they are even exact sizes as sometimes they change the size just a bit so it is not exactly the same.....

Ok got my order fast...they are indeed the cheap Chinese dies. They cut as good as any other that I have. I liked the prices though.

Craftyduo cant remember all the ones I bought but I got a nice variety of dies I havent seen before. There were several I really liked but were out of stock. I got 30 dies. Just to elaborate on them buying the cheap Chinese dies, I have purchased some of the cheap ones from Ebay and this company Cheapo has the exact dies I got cheaper on Ebay and in the same packaging. But I have to say the dies DO cut as well as any other die on the market and better than some of the really expensive ones too...lol

I don't know if I'd call those 'cheap'... Most dies directly from China run in the 1-3$ price range. That said you will have to wait a good while for delivery, so it's not much help if you need something fast. Being in Canada it doesn't matter either way, since our postal delivery is glacial when it comes to international small packets.

I was at a recent Scrapbook Expo and was blown away by the cost of Memory Box dies, they started at $15 up to $27+! No way would I pay that for a die even if I had an unlimited budget.
I'll shop Cheapo, Gina Marie, and ebay dies with price points $10 or less. My primary concern is stretching my crafting dollars. I'm not trippin' over who made what where as long as it gets the job done.

I hear you, I can't fathom paying 20, 30, 50+ (?!?!!) dollars for a single die or set. That's crazy sauce.

When it comes down to it there's very few unique dies out there that you can't find a less expensive alternative to, particularly when it comes to the basics - frames, tags, nesting shapes, letters, etc. I have thousands of dies, and I haven't spend thousands of dollars getting them. Looking forward to 11.11, as that's one of the big sale days for **********.
