Default Bind it all Help!

I've had a blue bind-it-all for quite awhile and have never used it. I now want to make two 8x8 albums. I don't know where to start! Do I bind the paper and covers first and then decorate the pages? I'm afraid if I decorate and fill the pages first, I'll end up punching into the pictures. I'm also afraid that I'll ruin it all! Also, since the blue b-i-a is smallish -- how do I get the punching even since I'll have to put it through twice?

Help please! I'm really afraid to try this! Any suggestions would help me a lot!

Thanks in advance!

Janet

If you do not want your pictures punched, I would punch the cover and pages first. I usually start with punching the cover, then add a page and line it up to punch the page. Then I remove the cover and use a punched page to use as a guide to punch more pages. Practice on scratch paper to make sure you are doing it properly before punching your actual scrapbook pages. Get the hang of it first.

I'd punch everything first and then decorate before actually binding your project. Then you know exactley where to and where not to put your pictuers or embellishments.

With the hole punching think about just doing one punch at the top and one at the bottom and then you don't have to muck around with getting it all lined up properly. Saves on the o-wires too!

I have been checking into buying a BIA. If you go on you tube web site there are videos you can watch. They will show you how to do it.

Marinek9mom.......Go to the Bind-it-All website. There is super instruction on there on how to work with the machine and lining things up. The video included with the machine is not worth squat in my opinion.....just 2 dippy women doing very little to explain. The video on the website (the last time I looked at it) was the same thing as the DVD. There are pages of written text that I found VERY helpful.

Thank you all so much! I'll watch the video, but I also think that I'll punch everything first and then add the wires afterward. Great suggestion, Metalcharm. I may also follow your advise and only punch from the top and bottom and leave the center alone.

I have to get at least one of the scrapbooks together by Sunday, so I need to work pretty quickly.
