Red face Bind it all

I have been the proud owner of a Bind It All for a YEAR NOW. I have never used it, due to my inability to understand it Now I just a bought a nice new case for it and a tool kit to match. I love that I am organized and look all tough with my coordinating cases. Now when I go off to my crops or classes I look like I know what I am doing Anyone else just collect and then hope to use it one day or do I have a problem?

I doubt very much that you are alone.

That said, if you want to get rid of it, I'm listening! ;)

Default bind it all

I have had mine about 6 months now. I have used it
but my husband had to help me with the last book
because I tend to not get it even with the punches.
he does a better job of measuring when I have a lot of
paper to punch.

I love my bind it all. I use it on my catalogues right now. So, my next step is to buy some chipboard and try some projects with the bind it all and the chipboard.

I find that if you pull the tab on the left (the one to line up your first punch) a little forward, it makes it much easier to line up the rest of the punches. Then you can fit the hole right around that black square tab.

Ahhhh yes the black tab... I haven't taken it out enough to know so guess I can do that now! I love how cute and blue it is. I like that I got all this free stuff with it. I love those little spiral binding things. Maybe now I will get it out!

Default You made my chuckle for the day!

Friendly 63 you gave me quite a chuckle. I keep buying more artsy stuff too and never seem to get to it to use it! I got a Bind It All for Christmas (just had to have one!) and haven't used it yet. I bought the case too! I have all the toys but.....they are just sitting there! So....you are definitely not alone!

I couldn't figure out how to use my BIA until I read the directions on the Zutter Zisters site - http://www.zutterzisters.com/Tips.html (nayy).

Funny thing is I hardly ever use it for crafty projects, I'm not as into mini-books as I thought I would be, but I use it for school projects all the time.

Default I'm a shopper too!

Man, did your comments resound with me! My best friend and I joke that our hobby is "shopping for scrapbooking and stamping" items rather than actually using them!

Glad to hear that we're not alone.

I have resisted the binder but have the wishblade -- have struggled to get it to work but don't have the internet access at home so I'm "alone" with it.

I also have the QuicKutz Squeeze Die-Cutting Tool with Die Set that was a TSV on HSN (have yet to take it out of the box) and lots of "sets" for albums.

I'd type some more but after reading SCS, I think I'm off to purchase the Laser cutter and the Tim Holtz Design ruler. Woe to the CC! ;)

Faith, your husband sounds just like mine. He shakes his head and smiles (thank goodness he's still smiling). I think my kids inheritance is in my craftroom! I do feel bad though cause I have so much stuff not being used. Doesn't it feel a bit like an addiction, seeing it and having to have it. I think I have a problem and really need to smarten up and either use it or stop buying it. It was good to see there are others who do the same thing with their buying.

I got a bind it all for Christmas and I kept it there for awhile and never used it but a couple of weeks ago I used it and it is really not that hard to use. I just followed the instructions that came with it. It was a cute tiny little book.
I love it.. Give it a try and I am sure that you will love it.

I think we all buy things and don't use them or use them very little.

If you need any help using the machine, I would be more than happy to help you out.. just pm me

When I bought mine I watched a video (probably on you tube) and read the directions, then finally just played with it on scrap paper. Once you get the hang of it, it is really fun and you can use it on anything, I am going to attempt to do all my catalogs soon. Just try it, you will be glad you did.

I have one on the way to my house as we speak. When I payed for it I thought, will I even ever use this?! LOL! MY office is full of equipment that I never use...heat press, 2 button makers, hot foil machine, um...and 1 sizzix big kick. SIGH. I've been trying to think of what I would be willing to sell but because of the deals I got on stuff I just can't bring myself to part with anything.

Oh well, at least I have cool things to look at lol.

LOL. I have this problem too. I always envision all these great things I am going to do with my new tools and then I never find the time to do anything. Why do I keep buying more? I am a collector I guess????

I can identify. I have things still in the shopping bag that I bought at a scrapbook convention last year. I have a Bind-it-all and love it. My excuse for buying is that other people could use it too. And they do--more than me.

Wink

Thank you for all of the validations that I received here! I have decided that since my bills are always paid, my kid well dressed, and I always share my goods, that I can continue my obsession with all things stamping! If anyone needs to borrow my bind it all.....
