I know Oh My Crafts usually has it for $269 and also run discount codes. The discounts are for various amounts Of purchase. I think you can use it on the Cameo. Sometimes they have the discounts and free shipping.
I haven't ordered from them in a while but was satisfied with the customer service and receipt time.
I haven't found anything cheaper than Amazon and free shipping if you have Prime. Plus I got it 1 business day, which was the best part! I know some people have gotten it cheaper with a coupon at Oh My Crafts, but they were out of stock and I didn't want to wait.

I've seen on one blog that you can get the software 50% off but the code is not working... $25 I can justify considering I already have SCAL3. Has anyone had any luck with this?

I found the 50% off code for Designer Edition! I am so happy and so glad to do business with Silhouette America, they definitely have their customers in mind.

SVG- Scaleable Vector Graphics. It's the uniform standard for line drawings. It's what most die cut files are nowadays. That is the simple answer, lol.
I bought my Silhouette Cameo from Overstock. I had a $30 coupon code for being a first time customer. Yes, I was a first time customer. I have been on the Net for a billion years and that was my first Overstock order. Crazy! I was really happy with the order.
Oh My Crafts did have a cheaper price for the Cameo. At the time I was ordering the Cameo was backordered. Even though some of the girls were getting theirs early I did hear that some customers would be waiting for a least a couple of weeks. I went ahead and spent a few extra dollars at Overstock. My Cameo was a replacement for my broken Silhouette SD.
Thank You for answering my question! I have been doing a lot of reading about the Silhouette Cameo....and have since ordered one.....can hardly wait for it to arrive! I am also watching some of the U-Tube videos for the SC and hope it will help me get used to the machine!
I finally decided to buy the Silhouette Cameo instead of the Sizzix Elcips, but I can't find a bundle deal that includes the upgraded software. Can anybody point me to a place that has the best deal? I would like to still use my SVG files, so I need the software. Or does anybody have the Elclips that could tell me why it might be a better choice that the Cameo? I'm driving myself crazy and I need to buy something soon! Thanks for any information!
Eclips will cut heavier material than the Silhouette.
Silhouette Cameo- Silhouette Studio is free. Silhouette Designer Edition runs around $50. You can upgrade it through Silhouette Studio. The Designer Edition imports SVG's.
You can find tutorials at Google how to convert SVG's to use with Silhouette Studio if you don't want to upgrade. I use Inkscape to convert my files. I won't go into a tutorial because my version is techy. I have been working with these machines a long time now. I think I would confuse you.
Silhouette Studio does come with the Cameo. The disc is in the box. I would just download the software from the website so you will have the most updated version.

Check HSN....the home shopping network. I just bought my Silhouette Cameo for 269.99 and it came with a bunch of accessories and two gift cards. It was the best deal I had found so far since it had all those accessories!!
I would keep an eye on Amazon...I got mine there many months ago for about $235 plus free shipping with a bunch of accessories and an extra mat and blade included. The price fluctuates day to day, so you'll really need to keep on top of it to get the best price. I also read that someone got one there for $214 with free shipping just the other day. Good luck!
I picked mine up from Amazon for $269 with free shipping. I was pretty happy with this deal since it included a $10 gift card and the Designer Studio Software.
