Anyone know what this stuff is?

A friend who was clearing out her crafting room gave me a couple of ziploc baggies of this stuff in different colours. She got it at a stamping convention several years ago and has no idea what it is, or how you use it. It looks a bit like a cross between candy floss (cotton candy) and fibre glass. Not sure how well the image captured it, but it sparkles when it catches the light.

I think it might be Angelina fiber. The link below gives a good description. I remember seeing it several years ago at a convention too.

I don't have a definitive answer for you, I'm afraid. It looks more like fibers that would be used for felting or something to me...

I second the vote for Angelina Fibers. I have a bunch of different colors in a box somewhere in my craft room. I haven't played with it in quite a few years, but it's interesting stuff.

Angelina fibers. I, too, bought them at a stamp show and never used them. You ink up a rubber (must be RUBBER) stamp, pile a little fiber on top, put a sheet of paper over the fibers, and then iron the paper. The fibers will melt a little leaving the inked impression on the melted fibers.

Angelina fibers were really popular around 2011 or so. There are some fun techniques you can do using rubber stamps and a warm iron. Lay your rubber stamp (has to be rubber) face up on the table. Tear off some fibers and lay them on top of the stamp. Cover with a piece of copy paper and press with a warm iron. The iron will melt the fibers and impress the stamp image. Also just lightly press the fibers between the paper to make a sparkly piece that can be die cut etc. Here is the gallery for Angelina Fibers.

It is definitely Angelina Fibres, or also known as Fusible Fibres. I have a whole bunch, comes in lots of different colours.You should find a lot of stuff on Pinterest/You Tube.
This panel, and these butterflies were made from it.





Quick how -to. basically you ink up your stamp in Staz-On. Then lay the stamp down, face up. Arrange the fibres over the stamp, making sure it's covered. Then cover with a sheet of greaseproof paper- I think that may be what you call deli paper?, not sure. Then Iron over the top, takes about 30 seconds. It does not damage your stamps at all. Then lift off the paper, and peel off your fused fibres.

I have several packs that I bought from Little Black Dress never have used them but was sucked in by a really good demo at a convention!!!
