Default Alcohol ink stained jars

I luv the shorter days as the season changes and lighting my home with led lights. Lately I've been obsessed with fairy lights in glass vessels. After watching You tube videos on using alcohol ink to color glass. I had to give it try. I wanted a bluish purple mason jar to hold the mini led twinkle lights to set on my deck table. It was easy peasy. I luv the outcome and effect!☺

Thank you for posting this. My cousin and I have quite a stash of Starbucks Frappuccino bottles that we plan to alter in various ways, and this info will be helpful. Off to find a video...

I'll be stopping by the thrift stores for more jars. ☺ Have fun!

I made a larger jar today with blinking lights but I prefer the "twinkling" lights which are in the smaller jar. Both light sets are battery operated w/timers. Also, I did not seal them since I'll re-use them after cleaning them up with alcohol for other seasons.
Here's the entry to the rabbit hole

If you enjoyed that project, you might like to see what Tim Holtz (and a bunch of Pinterest folk) do with glass ball ornaments.  Whole lotta pretty.

Tim has a YouTube tutorial, as do a few others.  We played around with it as a Christmas project a little while ago.  It was a lot of fun, but they are prettier in a window than on a tree.
