Default Alcohol Ink

Hi all of you reading this. I have been looking for alcohol ink and cannot find it or find anyone in stores that have ever heard of it. e.g. Michaels, Opus, Island Blue Print etc. I live on Vancouver Island, BC.

I have only heard about this ink and am curious as to what to do with it.

Any answers out there?

Thanks
Nancy

I've seen it in specialty stamp stores. Here's a link of stamp stores in BC. Maybe you can contact them to see if they carry alcohol ink.

I'm not full of ideas on what to do with it, as I don't own any yet. But, I've read in many magazines about how to use it. Have you checked the resources section here?

Are you talking about Rangers alcohol inks?? If so you can try http://rangerink.com/
They have a whole array of alcohol inks and if you just do a search for Ranger or Adirondack alcohol inks you should find something. HTH

Smile Hi neighbor...

I love Adirondack ink. It should be available in one of your stores. Lots of places online. If you love traveling across Georgia Straits on the ferry and driving south to Bellingham, there is a great little shop called Treasury of Memories.
I use Adirondack ink pads to do a version of the polished stone technique. That is, instead of buying the re-inker in bottles. Here is a sample...

If you're having trouble finding them you can also make them yourself!

Add one package of powdered Rit dye to a small baby food jar....then add rubbing alcohol to the top of the jar, and shake well. Another way is to take a black film canister, fill that about 1/4 of the way with the powdered Rit dye, then fill the rest of the canister up with the rubbing alcohol, and shake. An eye dropper works great for transfering the colour onto your surface.

I got mine thru clubscrap.com. I was a memeber at the time but I understand you can order as a non member. They had some beaufiful colors. I will try to upload a couple of examples, but they do not show up that well (mine are darker colors) They are very classy in person.

Thanks everyone for answering. I've just come back online since I posted my problem so will do some research. What do you do with them, Becki? I love all this kind of stuff and I buy it then wonder what the heck I'm going to do with it! LOL
