2 free carts rebate from Cricut.com
Hello,
Wondering if anyone has run into this issue and what happened?
If you buy your Cricut from Walmart but then send in your original receipt to Cricut.com to get a rebate (like the free carts they have right now) and then something happens to your machine and you take it back to Walmart, will they help you and exchange it or will they say they can't because you do not have the orginal receipt????
I'm pretty sure you have to send the oringinal receipt in to Cricut.com to get the rebate.
Thanks

A copy of the original should suffice with Walmart from what I have been told. Hopefully an employee will let us know more.

You can send in a copy of your receipt to Provo rather than sending in your original.

Do you know for certain they will honor it? just asking because the paperwork does ask for the original.

Is there a phone number on the rebate form? If so I would call them and find out for sure.

I stumbled across this and all I can say is THANK YOU! I filled out my form using the link stampgirljo provided and I'm putting it in the mail tomorrow. Freebies are awesome. I feel like I stole my cricut expression anyways since I got it at Wal-Mart on black Friday for $199 then M's had carts on sale for $29.99 Thurs - Sat! 2 free ones is even better. Woo hoo!

I just got off the phone with Cricut... I asked if it HAD to be the ORIGINAL receipt (i.e. to send in to get the 2 free carts) I was told that it HAD TO BE THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT. I mentioned that my concern was that something might happen to the machine and I wouldn't be able to return it to Walmart with a photocopied receipt - the lady told me that the machine was warrantied by Cricut for 1 year (which is better then what Walmart covers them for or their return policy of 90 days max) so if anything happened all I had to do was call them and send them the photocopy. They would in turn send me a new machine at no cost.
So I have to keep a photocopy of the receipt for myself (just in case needed) but there was no way around not sending them the original if I wanted to free carts.

Thanks for the info. I just got back from making copies of the receipt. I was hoping that they would take the copy, but I guess not. My husband got me the bundle from A.C.Moore on black friday. I was going to wait to open it up until christmas, but I guess I will open it up sooner to make sure it is working.
I want to send in the rebate thing for the 2 cartridges soon so I get them back faster.

Thanks for posting this! I didn't know there was a rebate going on. These carts are going to be great for me to use in my classroom!
