Default I have discovered quilting

While lookin on chic n scratch I noticed she quilted and incorporated her big shot (SU) scallop note die and made a rag purse. This is awesome. I watched her video and now I am hooked. I haven't really got the twang of things yet, but I feel that I can also incorporate my quickutz and other sizzix dies and make quilts, the love of both worlds. Merry Christmas.

I have never really been one to sew but after seeing Angie's instuctions I said I can do this! I ended up making my mom a rag lap quilt and my MIL a rag quilt purse. They both loved them!

You're in trouble now, LOL! I just discovered stamping after being a quilter for years. Now in addition to my quilting stash, I need a stash of inks, pencils, markers, STAMPS, papers, card stock, etc., etc. STORAGE space is at a premium.

I was able to make one of the purses with my Janome Sew Mini following Angie's videos. I have never been one to sew and almost flunked Home Ec in Jr. High because I couldn't make an apron. But I was able to do the purse. My husband must have been really impressed because he bought me a new full size sewing machine for Christmas. Now if I could only figure out how to use it. I had to watch GinaK's videos (several times) just to thread my little Janome.

Anyone want to come over and give me lessons?

Maybe where your husband bought your sewing machine they might have sewing lessons or call and ask if they can do a demo for you on your machine so you can learn how to use it better!

Everything seems easier when you see it in person. I am sure the store your husband got the machine from would be happy to show you how to set it up and assemble. Good luck.
