I can't bear to leave my little people's body parts stark white. Any ideas ? I know Copics are great, but I can only afford one or two. Or maybe another product that will give me flesh tones ? I know Crayola makes flesh toned crayons, but do they do colored pencils?
SU! Blush Blossom works well. You can purchase the markers individually. Here is a close up of a card that I created recently. I just don't have it posted on my blog yet. I used Blush Blossom for all of the skin tones.
What do you use that isn't stampn up? I only have prismas and the only thing that comes close is light peach. I just put it on lightly and blend. It looks pretty good, but would still like another option with out ordering from some where. Something from j's or M's etc. any suggestions?

Do you have any chalks? That might be an option for you.

Yes, Crayola makes multicultural colored pencils. They work very well.

I don't know whether those places stock them but the Lyra Skintone pencils are fabulous. They behave just like Prismas so you can blend and use OMS if you want to. Good multicultural selection of colours and useful for all kinds of other things too (tree trunks, teddy bears, nature images etc). I bought a set on the recommendation of somebody here when I got fed up with my Prisma Light Peach being just a bit too, well, peachy!
Tattered Rose Distress ink is great for light Caucasian skin tones and should be available most places.
Prismacolor markers you should be able to get open stock at Michael's
for skin I liked Eggshell - used mine all up! lol and light peach is good too, but more peachy (cartoony?)
I've been using Staedtler triplus markers and Martha's art markers.Staedtlers are more marker-ey...like what grade school uses in terms of texture, tone, and color. Martha's have several tones, but some of her colors are just weird, I don't think anything natural is those colors. I did buy a copic E00, and i have to layer it to get the colors. <sigh> There'll be no new markers or stamps for awhile....unemployed as of May 1. Guess it will give me more time to experiment.
I have a set of crayola flesh pencils I got at a school supply store that is now closed. I needed them for ESOL classes. Don't know if they are still available.
Now there is an idea I didn't think of ! I'm pretty sure we have a school-teachin store in town....Thanks ever so much for putting the idea in my head !
