Question Wire Words?

I missed the class that was offered locally here... and well they aren't offering it anytime soon (total bummer)...

So I will ask the Scrapbooking Gurus (that's you guys!)

How can you make your own wire words... I invision pliers and wire... but how do you make it flat and looking like words and not a pre-schooler mangled wire together!?! LOL

Please help... thanks so much!

*grin* Love that preschool-mangle imagery!

I have a little acrylic pegboard I use. I bought mine years ago online, but they now sell a much cheaper version at Michaels. It's basically a plastic block with holes drilled in a grid, and comes with various-sized pegs to stick in the holes. I use a combination of my fingers and that pegboard to make the letter loops and keep it flat. I ONLY use jeweler's pliers (no teeth on the 'mouth' part) if I can't get a good grip on a tail with my fingers or I need to hold a letter together while bending the wire in a completely different direction.

HTH :-)
