Default Votive Stamping Question

When you do stamping on votives (using tissue), what does it do when you burn them? How about when you use glue and glitter on the sides? I want to try it, but I was wondering about this. Has anyone used the party lite votives? How do they do for this technique? Or are the cheap ones the best?

I've heard that the best thing to do is to burn the candle for a while, then put the candle out and put a small tea light candle in the hole. That way you can continue to burn your candle and never mess up the decorated part! :-D

And I forgot to mention.....I buy my candles at the dollar store. Once they are decorated, you can't tell the difference.

With the dollar store candles, watch out for the soot. With Partylite you don't get that After I stamp on the little glass holders (how I "do" my votives/tea lights) I want to use partylite so the glass is clear and you can see the design. Just don't want all my "hard" work to be covered by black junk.
