There is a workshop wow card displayed on the SU Orlando Regionals page. Can anyone tell how its done?

Smile tie-die with craft spots

I just found this posted on the SU demo chat:

Hi Everyone! I thought since I had many personal emails asking if I had received the directions yet for this technique. Yes, Becky Carlson(who demonstrated the technique) responded with the following directions:
It is quite simple. I use a 6 x 6 sheet protector and split it
open so it is only attached on the hole side. Using two different craft spot
colors, 'smoosh' one color on each side of the inside of the protector. Leave
some blank areas but get a good amount of ink on there. When you have color on
both sides, close the protector and 'smoosh' the colors together. Open the
protector and put two pieces of glossy cardstock, glossy sides out, inside and
then close again. The smooshy colors will get on both pieces of glossy paper at
the same time making you two backgrounds. If you want, you can add some
irredecent ice embossing powder while the craft ink is still wet for some added
sparkle. The craft ink will hold the powder while you heat it.

I can't wait to get home so I can try it. I am doing the technique demo at our next demo gathering, so I think this will be it.

Anyone have a picture of this to share? It sounds interesting, but I would love to see it first!

Thanks Vickie!!!!!! I can't wait to try it!

Lynnwithane: you can only see this particular card if you are a stampin up demonstrator. It's under the events section. Go to : Orlando regionals on the events page, it's filed under regionals 2007-2008. I'm sure there are some samples here on splitcoast too, I just haven't found any yet even though I did a search. I'm probably typing up the wrong key words. I tried typing in tie dye, tie die, tye dye, craft spots, craft tie dye, etc but didn't get anything that resembled the card posted on SU. If I find a sample here on splitcoast I'll put a link to it.

Let me double check with my demonstrator...but we did this one time a while back....saturate a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol
drop random drops of a couple of colors of reinkers on cotton ball
"stamp" with ink/alcohol cotton ball on glossy cardstock
cut out and use

I will double check though.
I am a tie dye freak and loved it...but it has been a while....
