I have stamped on them with versamark and embossed them. You just have to be careful not to slide when your stamping. I just finished a memory book for my dh's Aunt. It was to commemorate her 80th birthday. I didn't stamp on transparency but I did get the ones you can use in your ink jet printer and used those to print out quotes on. I think between stamping and printing them I have become a transparency fanatic !
I have an idea for the new set from the new catty, all wrapped up with the jar. I was toying with the idea of stamping the empty jar on a transparency, and then filling it up. What do you think?
I think that's a fantastic idea! (and a cute set to try it with) I was going to try to emboss the bag or jar with clear to make it shiny, but a window sheet will work sooo much better. It will be really easy to demonstrate too.
I have two cards in my gallery using a non SU! jar stamp with trasnparencies. One is a shaker card, and the other was done with Pearl Ex to look as if it were filled water. Just do a search in the gallery for "jar".

If you purchase the ink-jet transparencies, you can stamp & color with regular ink & markers. I don't know about embossing on those, but they look pretty cool when done! I love working with clear stuff!
I just did a tag with a transparency for a scrapbook page yesterday. To match the dirt theme I sponged acrylic paint on the back, and on the front I embossed using Versamark. Just be careful with the heat gun or it will effect your plastic. I'm attaching the link here
I just found out that you can run them through you printer that spray them with the fixitive spray. This way you can use the cheap ones and not the expensive printer ones. I am sure it would also work with regular stamping ink also. It does leave alittle tint on it but when put on top of a picture you can't tell! I have also used brillanc ink, mine I got from Michaels. I takes alittle while but it does dry! SUsie
