Default rubber cement resist

I really love the look of this technique!!! However, I am having trouble finding rubber cement. The only thing I can find is contact cement...Will this work?

Thanks

I found Elmers Rubber cement at Walmart in the school supply section not too long ago. I don't know what contact cement is ,so can't help you there.

Default Rubber Cement

Trust me contact cement won't work. It is used for things like formica counter tops. Find rubber cement in the school supplies at most any store.

You definately want rubber cement. You walmart or target will carry it. You can find it in the stationary department with the other crayons and also in crafts. HTH.

Sometimes you can find rubber cement in the grocery store near the pens, pencils, crayons etc.

Just wanted to make sure you're looking for a jar not a tube maybe that's why you haven't found it.

I have checked ALL of our local stores...Walmart included...in both the stationary and hardware sections...I do remember owing a jar of rubber cement a few years ago and that is what I have been looking for...with no luck....I live in Canada...Could this be the problem??? I am really desperate to try this technique.

Could be why you can't find it more easily. Keep trying, maybe someone has another idea for something to substitute for the rubber cement. I've never tried the technique so I'm at a loss.

I also had trouble finding rubber cement at Walmart. I went to the Staples (right next door) and found it there! You might want to look at a Staples or Office Max or whatever type of office supply store they have in Canada.

HTH,
