I've done this technique on both regular and glossy card stock and my metallic ink rubs off after it dries!!! Does anyone else have this problem???
Am I supposed to seal it? If so, what do I seal it with?????? TIA
This is exactly what I needed to know! I was making some swaps for regionals and was trying this technique and was racking my brain with what i could use from SU! as a sealant. Clear EP is genius!!
Hmmmmmm, I demoed alcohol inks with metallic mixins and with the Kryon pen on glossy paper and I didn't have any of the metallic rub off and people were playing with it all day.

Ann - when I use the Metallic Mixatives from Ranger - I don't have a problem with the metallic rubbing off either - it's when you use the Encore Metallic ink refills that the ink tends to rub off.

Good to remember!

A long time ago, someone recommended using Brilliance metallic reinkers (gold, silver & copper) for the polished stone technique for just this reason - it dries beautifully and doesn't rub off. It's worked great for me, so I really recommend it.

Linda - I LOVE my brillance just for that reason - too bad SU doesn't carry it. I demo'd with it last week at an event - it even comes out of the bottle a lot nicer than the encore.
thanks for the tip on the hairspray too! I had covered my sheet of glossy and had fingers covered in silver everytime i touched it. I guess I waited too long to find this tip about the clear EP because while it took care of some spots, there were others that it didn't cover. I'm sure it would work much better if it was done right away and not several hours later But, I didn't want to throw away that sheet of glossy paper... I buffed the heck out of the page to get most of the extra silver off but it still comes off a little. I'll try the Clear EP right away and possibly the hairspray too next time, just to be safe!
