Question Pastels and water???

I've always used my pastels (chalk) dry with a Q-tip for coloring images. But I think you can use them with water. How exactly does that work?? Do you wet a brush and rub on the pastel?? Do you wet the pastel and then pick up with a brush??

Help!

I haven't used them with water but I have with the blender pens. That way you pick up the color from the chalk with the nib and color straight away

I use my Niji waterbrush...simply swipe the brush over the chalk and color away. It works great and is very easy to clean. I imagine you could use a brush & water in the same way.
