Default Large, glittered letters

Does anybody know how the letters were glittered on the garlands at this link?
Icing Designs: Pink Christmas Birthday Party! Part 1

She says they are 'hand glittered'. It doesn't appear that they are stamped with heat stick, or something. I thought about printing them out, then using a glue pen to trace over them to add the glitter, but I think the printer ink would run, as well as being extremely time consuming. I've been away from stamping and paper crafts for a while now, so I'm sure there must be some kind of new latest and greatest thing I don't know about.

Thanks so much!
Happy New Year!

From the picture of the banner, it looks like maybe she used this kind of glue pad to adhere the glitter. You can use it just like an ink pad, stamp your image, and then dump glitter on it.

Papertrey Ink - The Essential Glue Pad

Here is a blog post from Mish Mash showing the same technique, using the glue pad. Scroll down a little to see the glue technique.

I would go with buggainok's answer. She could have used a stencil for the letters also, and a glue pen maybe, sprinkled pink glitter over the top.
For the outer edge, I'd say she cut a plain circle template, put it over the centre of the scalloped circle, and perhaps sponged glue around the edge then glittered. Seems like that would work anyway,

Assuming you mean Heat n Stick, I think you could easily produce that effect with the right alphabet stamps using that method. Buggainok has mentioned the glue pad - most people don't seem to have much luck with those! The powder you heat up to get the sticky surface seems to do a much better job of keeping hold of the glitter.

The only other thing I can think of is that the letters could be cut out of adhesive sheet using something like a Cricut and then glittered over the top.

The ladies on that blog do say they make hand-illustrated and hand-glittered invitations etc etc (as in it sounds like a business) so they may have some fancy gadgetry that's not readily available to the home crafter, I guess.

Why not email her and ask how she did them? Hopefully she'd be happy to share instructions with you.

I LOVE my SU Sizzix Big Shot die cut machine and lots of alphabet dies I have collected over the years. I use the Sizzix 12" x 12" permanent adhesive sheets on a 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock, and die cut my letters out, then I peel off the red liner sheet and pour glitter on my letters. I cover the letters with a sheet of scrap cardstock and use a rolling pin to embed/burnish my glitter really good onto the adhesive. These adhesive sheets also come in different sizes (6x6) and in removable and permanent. Use the permanent.
Also another easy way is to use the 12 x 12 sheets of pre-glittered cardstocks on the retail market- in January, SU will have have a real pretty red glittered sheet in the new Occasions catalog. (You can't see this online until January 4th) That glittered paper looks "hand-glittered" as well. I will also cut it in my Sizzix.
Some people say they can cut the glittered sheets in their Cricuts, but I like my Sizzix much better, and I have also heard some people say the glittered cardstocks messes up their Cricuts because glitter particles comes off inside their electric cutting machine and its a pain to clean. My Sizzix is manually operated by hand, and cuts using pressure from a steel rolling rod as you crank the die through the machine. (Think pasta machine...LOL) . The glitter does not mess with my dies too bad and is easily cleaned off them with a terry wash cloth.
