ISO.....Rock and Roll Technique
 
I have seen some beautiful cards in the gallery using the Rock and Roll technique and of course I want to know how to do it!! Please somebody help!

Very easy! All you need is two shades of ink, like Perfect Plum and Pale Plum. Say you have a flower stamp (say the big daisy from Looks Like Spring). Ink it up in a light color, then ink only the edges of the stamp by holding the stamp at an angle to the darker ink pad and rolling it in a circle with only the edges touching. Then stamp!
You should have a shaded flower whose petals are lighter in the middle and darken at the edges. The reason you do the light color first is so that you aren't getting dark ink on your light pads.
I have also seen this done where you ink as above, then add even more shading or highlights with a marker, then huff and stamp. Cool!
