Can someone please help me flock. I have tried it several times and when it is done it looks great until you touch it or put it in an envelope, then it all comes off!!! :( :( :(
OMG - I can't believe I'm reading this post ??!!!?? I was talking to a friend of mine last night and she had the same problem. I hope someone can answer this because I'm curious to know why the flocking doesn't stick either.
I don't think the hairspray is a fixative for something so 3-D, but here's my 2 cents from my own experience.
Use the 2 way glue pen & color in w/ the glue the area to be flocked.
Dump some flock on & smash down all over the area w/ glue so that it is really stuck in the glue.
Shake off excess flock & use a dry old paintbrush if necessary to get rid of extra flock.
You can always do a second application if you have spaces: add more glue & press flock on top.
Let dry completely. I've never had it come off when I do this.

Same thing that I do and never had any problems with it coming off.
I was going to post this question after my failure last night to make my hedgehogs look nice and fluffy. I stamped in VersaMark and filled in the inside with VersaMark pen, then poured on Heat & Stick and heated it, poured on the brown flocking that SU use to sell and pressed it in and let it sit for several minutes. When I poured off the excess flocking there wasn't enough stuck to the Heat & Stick to even know I had flocked it - just looked a little dirty. I know I used this a couple of years ago and was impressed with how cute and fuzzy my hedgehog was - what's changed? Does the stuff get old? Am I missing a step?
Yes, I have some Batty Black and it did the same thing your brown did, and I used Heat & Stick too... could it be my Batty Black is too old, it is about 3 years old and so is my heat and stick, but my heat and stick seems to work fine for my embossing powders.

I flocked my hedgies using MonoAqua liquid glue (bought it at Officemax) I had a real tough time with the heat and stick powder method because I would get it overheated too easily and nothing would stick. I just painted the MonoAqua into my hedgies using the small applicator tip (it has two ends) and then a small paintbrush to get into the edges.
Great Idea! I have one of those aqua glue pens in my supplies, I will try that when i get home. I am going to try it with the Cool Cat and the Batty Black! Oh yes! New idea!!! Thank you!

After you apply the glue which is Mono in this case and then put on the flocking then do you heat it? I just never had good luck with flock with the heat and stick either - it definately doesn't like me :-)
