Default Hanging Ceramic Tiles

Hello and HELP!!!...I have stamped onto some 6" tiles. I then bought a tile bit to drill holes in the tiles in order to hang them and burned out the bit on the first hole, so apparently that it not the way to go. Can anyone share what they have used to hang the ceramic tiles after they are complete? I want something reliable as I am giving them as Christmas gifts and don't want them falling off from the walls and damaging something as they are rather heavy!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks,

Shelly

Great question because I am looking for an answer too! I thought about using picture hangers and attaching with contact cement. I think it may work for a 6x6, but looking for ideas on 12x12.

Use plate holders you can get at Joannes or Michaels.

Plate hangers are a good idea, or you could try mirror hangers.

Something is wrong with the bit, I have one and it goes through the tiles like butter. BUT you can also use picture hangers put on with Gorilla glue (availible at Micheals, hold up to like 20 lbs!) Hope that helps.

i cover the back of my tiles with felt and have ribbon sandwiched in between. another option would be to get the jagged edged picture hangers and glue it to the back of the tile with a good "industrial" type glue like E6000 or gorilla glue...
