could someone tell me the width of the gingham ribbon in the winter mini? they don't specify the size in there....

I think it's 1/4 inch. It's really easy to work with - I love it!

It's just about 1/4", maybe a smidge narrower. Very easy to work with.

It say's 3/16" by 15yrds. on the side of the spool. :D

Walmart has the exact same stuff at $1.88 for a roll with 6 yards on it. They have it in 14 colors and is the same width and quality. I would rather have all 14 colors than the huge SU rolls of single colors!

Really? The last time I got gingham at Walmart, it had 3 yards on the spool.

me too-I almost paid $1.88 for 3 yards-I had to look closely and put it back fast!

I found some at Michael's, too. It's on sale this week for $1 for 5 yards, but it's not nearly as nice.

I have both the WalMart and the SU ribbons--bought the WMart while waiting for my SU ribbon! It's true that the quality is the same in both, but WalMart's has only 12 feet (4 yards) on the roll. It says 1/4" on the roll. SU's comes out to $ .463 a yard, and WalMart's comes out to $ .47 a yard. Now if it's color selection that you want, you really should check out www.******************.com that Debbie Fisher posted about a while back! I think they have something like 70 color combos in gingham. . . and it's almost $ .40 a yard, BUT it does not come in 1/4" width. Narrowest is 3/8". It is lovely ribbon, however, if you don't *need* 1/4" width! And she mails quickly as well. HTH!

...got mine at Wallyworld-they have a nice green that looks like it will go with M.Moss or O.Olive, also have burgundy, etc. Nice selection

I just had a friend tell me that you can get a different look to your black and white gingham by rubbing it over any color stamp pad. Maybe worth trying!

I do that with my sheer ribbon. You only have to buy white-rub it in whatever color matches your cardstock and voila! matching ribbon.

The price on Wal Marts gingham ribbon is $1.88 for 4 yards (12 feet). The price between Stampin Ups ribbon and WM ribbon is less than a penny a foot. Wal Mart has more colors than Stampin up, but obviously your roll runs out sooner. Price wise, it's almost identical! I would prefer to have it count toward my totals and get free hostess benefits on my purchase though, so in the future I will order it from SU!

My Walmart roll has 6 yards each and there are 14 colors to choose from!

If you have found WalMart gingham by Offray that is $1.88 and is actually 6 yards (18 feet), you may want to get all they have in stock! Because what is being sold at my local Walmart now is 4 yards (12 feet) for $1.88 as shown on the scan of the roll below. . . making it virtually the same price as SU's. Go get that gingham! :-D

Wow, that's what my ribbon from WM looks like. :lol: :lol: Don't all WM stores have the same stock? I have purchased some in Midland, Las Cruces and El Paso and they all are the same price for 4 yards (12 feet). :wink: I checked all 8 rolls!
