Look in resources ... there is a list of numerous techiques, and the gel card is one. These are great directions.

Default Gel Cards 2 Cents

I heard from someone who tried one a while back and the gel degrades after a couple of months and becomes icky. It looks great for a while, but don't plan on keeping one long as a sample. Kathy

That, and if you use glitter in the gel, it tend to break down pretty quickly and "colors" your gel.

I just tried this technique for the first time last night and I think it looks really neat. I'm glad you mentioned about the glitter because I was going to attempt to do that on my next card.

I wonder if this is due to the type of gel used? I have a sample I made several months ago, and it still looks as good as when I made it.

Default gel

I received two in a swap recently. One of them leaked and made a mess. I wasn't too impressed.

I've heard something about this before, which makes sense because of the different chemicals involved from product to product. I'm wondering if the cheaper (weaker) gels would be better for this? I hope so, because that's the kind I bought at the Dollar Store Maybe someone with lots of gel card experience will post more info on this. I really want to make some of these. I have lots of Pisces birthday cards to make very soon! Linda
