Default Floating Technique

Hi, Everyone! This is my first post although I've been browsing the gallery and feeling pretty overwhelmed for a while now  Can somebody explain to me ~ step by step ~ how to do the floating technique? I saw it on several cards, but couldn't follow the brief directions...

Thanks in advance!

After reading this question on how to do the floating technique, I too would like to know how to do it. Please if there is anyone out there who could help, post a reply here.

So cool! Just when I think I have all the techniques, one more pops up!

What I have been doing with all the different techniques is I copy and paste the instructions on the computer, print them out, place them in sheet protectors, then put them in a three ring binder. I use the dividers with tabs between the instructions and write the technique name on the tabs. This is a quick and easy way for me to look up a technique that I want to use. Pretty soon, though, I'm going to need a bigger binder!

I'm anxious to try that technique...and I picked up a couple others I hadn't seen when visiting that site. (My printer is going to run out of ink!)

Yes, window sheet, acetate, whatever name the brand goes by.

I saw this msg and took a look at the site you provided for instructions and pictures of the "floating" cards. I have a question I'm hoping you can answer. What kind of adhesive is used to mount the floating pictures on the acetate sheet? I read the directions but nothing was mentioned as to how they are adhered. Thanks, Margaret in San Antonio

I haven't tried these yet, but I'm going to try to make one tomorrow and if it works out I'm going to teach my stamp club to do them. But anyhow, I think I'll try the snail (mono) adhesive. We'll see if it works.

Has anyone her made these... do you know if mono would be ok? Or... what do you use?
