Default embossing on acetate

Saw this beautiful snowflake ornament and I am trying to emboss on acetate but it won't work. Is this how she did this and if so how do I pull this off?
When I tried I just melted the acetate!!!!

I have only embossed on acetate once and it worked just fine. Just make sure that you move the heat gun around - don't keep it in one place or you will melt it. Also, make sure that you let your heat gun run for a few seconds to heat up so you don't have to hold the heat on the image for too long. HTH!

I could be wrong about this, but I think there are different kinds of acetate and some work better with embossing than others. You might want to try a different kind of acetate.

I believe the poster #13 has the info that is pertinent to the melting. There are different kinds of acetate and the laser type is what I believe you need.
